My name is Lee Shek Hon, Kennedy. I am now studying Accountancy at Community College of City University (CCCU). During the 2 years at CCCU , I am really grateful that I have the opportunity to join the Study Abroad Scheme (SAS) and Student Representatives Committee (SRC). What I have experienced at CCCU benefits me a lot for my personal development.

I cannot discover the beauty of Canada if I did not join the SAS. Aside from academic, I can broaden the horizon about what is surrounding of Vancouver, just like how people lives and the living pace. People treats others as friends. They always say “ have a nice day” with a beautiful smile, instead of just saying “goodbye” This is so impressive to me as people in Hong Kong seldom say in such way. I learn how Canadian treats others friendly and with respect. The living pace impresses me also. The pace is very different from Hong Kong. Canadian walks slow, eats slow and  talks slow. Their working hour is quite short that makes Canadian has much more leisure time to enjoy live and relax in daily. In Hong Kong, people are used to fast, everything is fast. The difference of living pace let me learn to change and how to adjust under different environments. These 2 years in associate degree are going to finish soon. There is a new page in my next stage. I am very grateful that I can experience changes, then learn to adjust under different environments in advance. The SAS helps me have a remarkable growth in personal development.

As a member of Student Representative Committee (SRC), I change a lot. Joining SRC is a brand new experience for me. In secondary school, I did not experience something special. During these 2 years, however, I take the responsibility to organize activities under different disciplines, for example career, personal and academic. I used to be passive, I used to wait for instructions. Now, I have to take the initiative to ask, do and accomplish tasks. This trains me to be more active and grasp any chances to improve myself.Studying an associate degree is really tough. What can really make me pass through all difficulties and pain is friendship. During organizing activities, boarding personal relationship is the treasure I get from every activities. From a few of close friends to 12 SRC members, then finally build up a strong friendship with about 40 student leaders, this makes me stronger and able to pass through these 2 tough years.

The above-mentioned are apart of my whole development. During these 2 years, I have been well-equipped in different initiatives, including career, personal and academic. I am confident that I am able to face the new challenges in future.
